Juan Carreno Ariza - Bio



Juan Carreno Ariza is a 22-year-old producer, composer, musical director, arranger and guitarist from Bogotá, Colombia currently located in Los Angeles, California.

Ariza recently graduated Summa Cum Laude in Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music.  During his time in school, he participated as a guitarist in several performances in Boston with the likes of Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Aloe Blacc, Chris Turner, Bilal, Kirby Lauryen, Brett Heart, Ray Greene and Lenny Pickett.

He also has musical directed, produced, arranged and performed shows internationally in Rabat, Morocco, opening for Maroon 5 in the Mawazine: Rhythms of the world festival in 2015 with Ghita, as well as Bucharest, Romania in the Arenele Romane with Mihai Cernea.

He also has had experience working at the marketing department of Berklee College of Music in the fall of 2015 as a producer/arranger for the head of student affairs. He has been able to work with several artists also taking on various roles and settings such as sound designing, string arrangements and sequencing, video editing, music production and more. Myles Walker mixed one of his latest productions with artist Gabriela Francesca, Ghost On Your Back. He also got commissioned by Berklee to write, produce, MD, conduct, and perform in a 16 song medley of Grammy award nominees for record of the year, that had ties to Berklee. This piece was featured in the Boston Hearld, Huffington Post and Caracol Radio in Miami.

After graduating Berklee in the winter of 2015 Ariza relocated to Los Angeles, California and was a staff composer with the world renowned music house Human Worldwide. During this time as a staff composer he placed tv and web commercials for brands such as Hulu, Starbucks and Verizon. Juan is now freelancing for Human and is now a full time guitarist with Universal Japan J-Pop Superstar Che’Nelle, legendary Pastor Sandra Crouch’s Church and upcoming ROK mobile artist Maisy Kay. He was recently invited to play with legendary drummer Tony Royster Jr. at the Sayers Club in Hollywood. He is also working as a producer for Durand Bernarr, Erykah Badu’s background vocalist. Ariza is currently working as a producer with artists such as VINCNT, Dinner Soon and Sara Fullerton to name a few.
